Investor Relations Officer (IRO)

Position Overview

The Investor Relations Officer (IRO) serves as the primary interface between the Company and its investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders. The role is responsible for ensuring transparent, timely, and accurate communication of the Companys financial performance, strategic direction, and governance practices. The IRO plays a key role in enhancing shareholder value, maintaining regulatory compliance, and strengthening the Companys credibility in capital markets.

Role & responsibilities

Investor Communication & Engagement

• Act as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
• Organize and manage quarterly earnings calls, investor meetings, and analyst briefings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors.
• Respond to investor queries with accurate, consistent, and timely information.

Financial & Strategic Reporting

• Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to prepare earnings presentations, press releases, and investor decks.
• Draft and distribute investor communication material (annual report, investor newsletters, FAQs, Q&A scripts).
• Analyze market trends, peer performance, and investor sentiment to provide feedback to senior management.
• Ensure disclosures are aligned with SEBI (LODR), Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.

Compliance & Governance

• Coordinate with Compliance/Company Secretary to ensure adherence to regulatory reporting obligations.
• Maintain records of investor interactions in line with insider trading and disclosure policies.
• Monitor shareholding patterns, stock exchange filings, and analyst coverage.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Track competitor performance, global industry trends, and capital market developments.
• Advise management on investor perceptions and suggest strategies to enhance valuation and market reputation.
• Provide inputs for capital-raising activities, rights/bonus issues, and corporate actions.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial statements, ratios, and valuation metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex information.
• Knowledge of SEBI, stock exchange requirements, and global investor relations practices.
• Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), financial databases (Bloomberg, Reuters), and IR tools.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

• Accuracy and timeliness of investor communication and disclosures.
• Quality and effectiveness of investor engagement programs.
• Improvement in investor perception and analyst coverage.
• Compliance track record with SEBI/LODR and other regulations.
• Contribution to shareholder value and market capitalization growth.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  MBA (Finance/Strategy) or equivalent qualification

• Experience:

  4-5 years in investor relations, corporate finance, equity research, or related domain.
