Investment Banker

Job Summary

The role involves supporting investment banking and debt market activities with a focus on fixed income products, capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, and client relationship management. The position works closely with issuers, investors, internal trading desks, and senior bankers to execute transactions across debt capital markets and advisory mandates.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Banking & M&A

• Assist in execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic advisory transactions
• Prepare pitch books, financial models, valuations (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
• Conduct industry research, financial analysis, and due diligence
• Support deal documentation, coordination with legal advisors, and transaction closure

Debt Market

• Support origination and syndication of debt instruments, including bonds, debentures, loans, and structured products
• Coordinate with issuers, arrangers, rating agencies, and investors during debt issuance
• Assist in pricing, structuring, and distribution of debt offerings
• Monitor market conditions, yield curves, credit spreads, and investor appetite

Fixed Income Products

• Work on fixed income instruments such as government securities, corporate bonds, NCDs, money market instruments, and structured debt
• Analyze credit risk, interest rate movements, and market liquidity
• Support secondary market trades and primary issuances

Client Coordination & Relationship Management

• Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and transaction execution
• Coordinate between clients, internal teams, traders, and operations
• Prepare client presentations, term sheets, and transaction updates

Debt Operations

• Liaise with trading desks and brokerage teams for execution of fixed income trades
• Support settlement, compliance, and post-trade processes
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal risk policies
