Investment Analyst

We are currently hiring for Spanish MNC

• Take complete ownership of the outputs of the financial models for existing and new investments including implementation of the changes required in the models to run any business scenario to analyze projects viability.
• Take responsibility for reviewing and approving the structure and general soundness of financial models including accurate reflection of financing, accounting, and tax related aspects in financial models.
• Create, update and maintain of financial models for each project/investment together with the asset/project valuation.
• Advise and support our Business Development/Commercial team/Project Finance/M&A team to optimize the financial model inputs to meet our minimum return IRRs.
• Coordinate the preparation of Investment Committee (IC) presentations and analyze the investment case being presented including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Support the CFO on validation of the IC case and presentations, valuation evolution of the portfolio assets and potential equity raise opportunities that will arise.
• Participate in the presentations to the Investment Committee meeting and the Board of Directors for investment approvals to answer specific queries related to the investment case.
• Support the Project Finance team when structuring the deal with the potential lenders: modelling, teaser/info memo preparation, due diligence and contract negotiations.
• Guide and coach a team of investment analysts and prepare them for operating independently over time.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelors degree in business administration, MSc. Engineering or a qualified chartered accountant.
• Understanding of financing in the "Project Finance" concepts.
• High level of both spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Visual Basic) and SQL database management will be valued.
• Use of Reuters tools and valuation of interest rate derivatives.
• 6-8 years in corporate finance or investment banking in financial institution, consulting, or investment analysis function in an industrial company.
• Experience in creating and updating complex financial models such as infrastructure / renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS).
• Financial model expertise, modelling best practices will be highly valued.
• Ability to work in tight timelines and interest in learning and developing professionally.
• Proactive person with the ability to learn and communicate transparently with the whole organization.
