Inventory Planner

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:

Monitoring inventory levels, identifying potential stock issues (shortages or overstocks), and implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.

• Vendor Collaboration:

Working closely with LSP to ensure timely delivery of materials and products, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborating with different stakeholders, and other departments to align inventory strategies with overall business objectives, including product launches and promotions.

• Inventory Planning & Optimization:

Developing and maintaining inventory plans, establishing inventory targets and ordering parameters, and optimizing inventory levels for specific product lines or categories.

• Demand Analysis and Forecasting:

Analyzing sales data, market trends, and historical data to forecast future demand and identify potential stock shortages or excess inventory.

• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Generating regular inventory performance reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying areas for improvement.

• Inventory System Management:

Maintaining accurate inventory records, managing inventory transactions, and ensuring data integrity within inventory management systems.

• Process Improvement:

Identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize inventory management, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

• Problem Solving:

Addressing inventory discrepancies, resolving supply chain issues, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential problems.
