Internal Auditor

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Auditor to inspect, analyze and evaluate our organization's financial records, processes and internal controls. The Auditor will perform operational, compliance and financial statement audits to examine accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and internal protocols. This role is responsible for identifying deficiencies, reporting issues and recommending solutions to strengthen financial controls.

Responsibilities:

- Design and execute audit plans for various departments, locations and corporate entities

- Conduct risk assessments to determine scope and objectives for audits

- Develop audit programs describing procedures and tests to perform

- Interview department heads and review processes to understand workflows

- Inspect account books, ledgers, invoices, bank statements and other documents

- Verify assets and liabilities to confirm existence and ownership

- Examine stockholder equity accounts and transactions impacting them

- Analyze accounting records to check accuracy and consistency

- Perform tie-outs, reconciliations and roll-forward testing procedures

- Trace transactions through system to test authorization and completeness

- Identify control weaknesses and gaps in processes or documentation

- Report audit findings to management and external auditors

- Follow up to ensure timely remediation of issues and risks

- Remain updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices

- Maintain working papers detailing audit tests, findings and conclusions

- Assist with implementation of new accounting methods and controls

Requirements:

- Preferable CA /Inter CA

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a relevant experience.

- 5+ years experience in external or internal auditing

- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail

- Strong organizational, time management skills

- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

- High ethical standards and integrity

- Proactive with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
