Integration Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage system integrations across enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, and messaging systems
• Build secure and scalable APIs using REST/SOAP for real-time and batch integrations
• Configure and manage

  API Gateways

  (e.g.,

  Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management

  , or

  Spring Cloud Gateway

  ) to control traffic routing, authentication, rate limiting, and monitoring
• Implement custom policies and logging in API Gateway for secure and optimized API access
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployment pipelines for APIs and integration components
• Troubleshoot integration issues including message failures, API timeouts, data mismatches, and latency across systems
• Set up monitoring, logging (e.g., ELK, Splunk), and alerting tools to track integration health and performance
• Analyze logs and traces from API Gateway, queues, and backend services to identify root causes of failures
• Maintain detailed technical documentation of integration flows, API contracts, and error handling mechanisms
• Ensure compliance with security protocols (e.g., OAuth2, API keys, IP whitelisting) and enterprise governance policies

Preferred candidate profile

• Understanding of

  event-driven architecture

  , microservices, and containerized environments
• Exposure to

  CI/CD pipelines

  and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Experience with

  cloud-native integration tools

  on GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Certification in API management tools (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of

  REST/SOAP API development

• Hands-on experience in configuring and managing

• Strong scripting or development background (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js)
• Experience with tools like

  Postman
