Job Description

You will be responsible for project work where you will freeze the instrumentation philosophy for the entire plant while considering control, validation, and safety. You will review instrument specifications, control valve specifications, instrument schedule, and floating instrument inquiries. Additionally, you will review hook up diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable tray layouts, and cable schedules. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing Process Control Schemes, instrumentation lists, and MTOs for all accessories and mountings. You will also oversee the approval of vendor drawings and tender documents, issue enquires and tender documents, and carry out technical appraisal of quotations. Collaborating with Chemical Engineers, you will identify areas where automation can enhance value and propose modifications to management. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of complete electrical distribution in the plant from a single LT source, as well as supervising electrical and instrumentation works. You will assist with electrical activities as needed and review GA Drawings, BOM, standards, and protections of panels. Monitoring adherence to compliance related to Electrical Safety will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of maintenance work, you will troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and recommend solutions to prevent recurring issues. You will manage maintenance and instrumentation activities for facilities in the manufacturing plants to ensure safe and smooth operations. Additionally, you will conduct instrumentation application studies and modify plant facilities according to technical specifications and business requirements. Evaluating the current preventive/predictive maintenance program, reviewing electrical system inspection and maintenance reports, and implementing improvements in the electrical maintenance program will also fall under your purview. You will participate actively in safety programs, promote safety rules, conduct and arrange training for staff and contractors to enhance their skills and competency levels, and implement and monitor IMS systems. Keeping records of all stock and supplies, including company's electrical equipment, and aiding the organization in reducing energy costs will also be part of your responsibilities. To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Chemical/Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and a total of at least 5 years of experience. A Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering is required, along with strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc). Your ability to work with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and environmental concerns, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills, will be essential for success in this position.,
