Instrumentation Controls Engineer- Water

Role Overview: You will be responsible for concept design and detail design development for tender and/or construction level of instrumentation and control systems of various facilities such as WTP, WWTP, Pump stations, Hydro Power, and O&G plants. Your role will involve designing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), generating field instruments and PLC I/O lists, preparing cable schedules, instrument location plans, control system architecture/network diagrams, electrical equipment layouts, technical specifications, and more. You will also be required to communicate with global internal clients for input information and project status. Key Responsibilities: - Concept design and detail design development for instrumentation and control systems - Designing Process and Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) - Generating field instruments and PLC I/O lists - Preparing cable schedules and cable route diagrams - Designing Instrument location plans and instrument installation details - Designing Control System Architecture/Network diagrams - Designing Control Panel, Server cabinet, Elevation drawings, and GA - Designing Electrical equipment layout and plans - Preparing technical specifications, scope of work, and BOQ documents - Preparing Design report and control philosophy for the plant control system - Preparing instrument datasheets and purchase specifications - Preparing loop drawings, wiring diagrams, Interconnection, and control schematics diagrams - Coordinating with Electrical/Civil/Mech/Process and other disciplines - Carrying out other duties as assigned by supervisor/management Qualifications Required: - B.E. in Instrumentation & Control - Experience with PLC and DCS systems, Microsoft Office Suite - Knowledge of International standards like ISA, BS, IEC, NEMA, etc. - Good Communication skills, Presentation Skills, Learning Attitude, good grasping power, and a good team member - Knowledge of Water/Wastewater treatment process, O&G sectors will be an added advantage - Experience with drawings and documents review and vendor submittal review will be an added advantage - AutoCAD software skills for design support will be an added advantage - Experience on Middle East and Asia Pacific region projects will be an added advantage Additional Company Details: Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting with approximately 32,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
