Job Description

Job SummaryDesign & SpecificationDevelop and review instrumentation and control system designs, drawings, and specifications
Select appropriate instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control systems for process applications
Prepare datasheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations
Project ExecutionParticipate in project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling of instrumentation activities
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process, etc
) during project execution
Support construction and commissioning of instrumentation systems
Maintenance & CalibrationDevelop and implement calibration procedures and schedules for field instruments
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems
Ensure all instruments meet required accuracy, safety, and compliance standards
Control SystemsSupport configuration, testing, and optimization of PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems
Maintain and update control logic, instrument loops, and interlocks as per process requirements
Compliance & SafetyEnsure all instrumentation work complies with industry standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc)
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures
Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments
Continuous ImprovementRecommend and implement improvements to instrumentation systems for better reliability and efficiency
Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices
