Description
As the Data Protection Lead at Zoetis India Capability Center (ZICC) in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, engineering, and continuously improving the organization's data protection technology stack. Working closely with the Data Protection Service Lead and Sr. Data Protection Analyst team, you will ensure that data protection technologies are optimized and aligned with regulatory and business needs. You will also supervise a team of 3-5 Data Protection Analysts within the ZICC. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Design, Configuration & Maintenance:** - Implement changes and maintain the organization's data protection technology stack, including network, endpoint, email, and cloud solutions. - Evaluate solutions and recommend enhancements for improved detection and performance. - Implement patches and upgrades to keep the data protection environment secure and up to date. - Manage policies, rules, and system configurations. - **Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:** - Monitor system health, scalability, and performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime. - Investigate complex technical issues, determine root causes for errors, and implement long-term solutions. - **Alert Handling, Incident Triage & Escalation:** - Monitor data protection dashboards and alert queues for policy violations or anomalous activity. - Conduct preliminary analysis on triggered alerts, apply standard operating procedures to determine severity, and escalate incidents when necessary. - Document incident details clearly in ticketing or incident management systems. - **Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Policy Awareness:** - Maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, architecture diagrams, and implementation details. - Maintain an understanding of basic data protection policies and procedures. - Provide feedback on policy effectiveness based on recurring alerts. **Qualifications Required:** - University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. - MS or advanced identity courses or other applicable certifications are desirable, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). - Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in Information Security focusing on data protection systems design, administration, and optimization. - Expertise in Netskope CASB and Symantec DLP. - 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry, especially Animal Health. - Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones. - Demonstrated ability to work within diverse technical teams. **Additional Details:** - The Data Protection Lead will have organizational relationships with the Data Protection Service Lead (US), Sr. Data Protection Analyst team (US), Data Protection Analyst team (ZICC), and Insider Threat Investigations Manager (US). - This position involves supervising approximately 3-5 ZICC colleague members of the ZICC InfoSec team. - The role requires availability to work between 1pm IST to 10pm IST hours with a minimum of 3 hours of daily overlap with US ET Time zone.
