Overview

The position contributes to our business success by supporting the Sales and Account Management team. HCLTech needs a resourceful Lead Development Rep working as part of the demand acquisition team to develop and implement growth opportunities in the given territory. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team in an evolving industry landscape. They should also be self-motivated and work well independently.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Expected to champion and lead the priority account outreach program for designated accounts through multiple activities, own account reporting and ensure relevant stakeholders receive and understand reported data.
  • Individually contribute to and add value to complex account and business development needs, including global account planning, go-to-market research and strategy, pursuit/sales support, pitch development, and other ad hoc business development needs.
  • Arrange business development meetings with prospective clients.
  • Create a pipeline of qualified leads or opportunities in the given region.
  • Provide relevant knowledge to account teams – liaise with respective HCLTech knowledge professionals/sector specialists, leverage potential areas of opportunity, focus on disseminating business analysis and research, competitive intelligence and relevant thought leadership.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate prospect's interest.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • In partnership with the sales directors and accounts managers, own the account planning process and ensure regular reviews against planned milestones and targets.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and the development/identification of best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA in International Business/Marketing/Sales with B. Tech in computer science or engineering degree preferred with a minimum of 75% across academics (10th, 12th, UG and last semester of PG).
  • Goal-orientated strategic thinker but also willing to execute and roll up your sleeves.
  • Ability to generate revenue by identifying pain points and suggesting suitable products or services.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools would be a plus.
  • Strong planning, project management and problem-resolution skills.
  • Excellent agency and vendor management skills.
  • Able to work with globally distributed teams.
  • Proven working experience in business development or a similar role in the international market will be of value.
  • Relevant work experience would be an added advantage.
