Description
As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer (SME) for Infrastructure Systems within Global Facility Technologies at Molex, your role will be crucial in supporting and optimizing facility systems. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will ensure smooth operations and effective communication infrastructure. As a Subject Matter Expert within the Facilities Technology group at Molex, you will play a key part in managing the global team. - Guide decision-making and strategy related to infrastructure systems - Support teams with technical details, best practices, and industry standards - Contribute to training materials, documentation, and knowledge bases - Ensure quality assurance for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Molex/Koch standards - Act as a go-to resource for solving complex problems related to facility systems and communications - Educate and mentor team members or stakeholders - Stay updated on industry trends and evolving standards for continuous improvement Basic qualifications for the role include: - 3-5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure systems and technologies - Proficiency in low voltage cabling, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and data closet design - Knowledge of sound masking, Alertus system, and occasional travel may be required The primary skill set entails expertise in: - Low voltage cabling (copper and fiber cables) - Power systems (UPS, power generators, PDU) - Cooling infrastructure (smart racks) - Data closet design (MDF/IDF) Secondary skill set includes: - Sound masking and paging systems - EHS alerting systems - BAS knowledge for extended responsibilities Additionally, working knowledge of HVAC control systems, building management software platforms, and IT/network infrastructure integration with BAS is preferred for the BAS role.
