As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer (SME) for Infrastructure Systems within Global Facility Technologies, your role will be pivotal in supporting and optimizing facility systems across Molex. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will ensure smooth operations and effective communication infrastructure. The Subject Matter Experts will be a part of a global team managing the Facilities Technology group that supports Molex. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees worldwide, involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. The Koch Technology Center (KTC) in India is being developed to extend IT operations and serve as a hub for innovation. Joining at the ground level, you will play a critical role in building out the Koch Technology Center over the next few years, providing significant global exposure. Offering in-depth knowledge and insights, you will guide decision-making and strategy related to infrastructure systems. Supporting teams with technical details, best practices, and industry standards will enhance project outcomes. Your contributions to training materials, documentation, and knowledge bases will support system usage and troubleshooting. Quality assurance will be a key responsibility to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Molex/Koch standards. Acting as a go-to resource for solving complex problems related to facility systems and communications, you will consult and advise. Additionally, educating and mentoring team members or stakeholders will help build a knowledgeable and capable support team. Staying updated on industry trends and evolving standards will be crucial to continuously improve system designs and operations. Basic qualifications include 3-5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure systems and technologies. Proficiency in low voltage cabling (copper and fiber cables), power systems (UPS, power generators, PDU), cooling infrastructure (smart racks), data closet design (MDF/IDF), sound masking, and Alertus system is required. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites and other offices. The primary skill set entails expertise in low voltage cabling, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and data closet design. Proficiency in cable termination, labeling, testing, power monitoring tools, thermal management, and compliance with standards is essential. Secondary skill set includes sound masking and paging systems, EHS alerting systems, and BAS knowledge for extended responsibilities or cross-functional engagement. Understanding office acoustics, integrating AV systems, reducing background noise, and implementing alert systems are beneficial skills. Working knowledge of HVAC control systems, building management software platforms, and IT/network infrastructure integration with BAS is preferred for the BAS role.
