Job Description

Infra Engineer (Linux/Windows Incident & Event Management)

Location: Bangalore

Shift: 247 Rotational

Function: Lenovo SAP Managed Services

Position Overview / Purpose

Responsible for monitoring and managing infrastructure-level alerts and incidents to ensure system availability and performance for SAP landscapes hosted on Azure and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor infrastructure alerts (CPU, memory, disk, network) using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, and Zabbix.
Validate and escalate critical alerts to SMEs within defined SLAs.
Troubleshoot OS-level issues and restart services when required.
Coordinate with Cloud teams for VM restoration and resource adjustments.
Perform log reviews and identify anomalies.
Patch and update OS components as per maintenance schedules.
Maintain configuration and availability dashboards.
Support DR drills and infrastructure RCA activities.

Core Technical Expertise Required

Windows and Linux Server Administration (SLES/RHEL).
Azure VMs, Storage, Load Balancers, and Network Security Groups.
AWS EC2, S3, VPC, and Route 53.
Monitoring and alerting tools: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Zabbix.
Scripting for automation (Bash/PowerShell).

Certifications / Preferred Training

Microsoft AZ-104 / AWS SysOps Administrator Associate.

Experience & Competencies

36 years of infrastructure support experience in managed services.

Collaboration & Customer Centricity

Work closely with Basis and DB teams to minimize infrastructure incident impact on application availability.
