Position: Utilities / Infrastructure Draughtsman Experience : 4 to 10 Years Software: AutoCAD and MicroStation Job Location : Pan India Interview: Virtual Industry: Infrastructure design Passport: Mandatory Creating technical drawings: Producing detailed plans, elevations, sections, and other drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. Converting designs: Transforming rough sketches, verbal instructions, and design specifications into accurate and clear technical drawings. Preparing layouts and diagrams: Developing detailed layouts for construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects, including piping layouts, structural details, and assembly diagrams. Revising drawings: Updating and modifying existing drawings to reflect changes, improvements, or new requirements from the engineering or design team. Ensuring accuracy and compliance: Reviewing drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant standards, codes, and project specifications. Documenting designs: Maintaining accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation. Assisting with project documentation: Preparing bills of materials, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation related to design and construction. Collaborating with project teams: Working with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Staying updated: Keeping abreast of new technologies, software, and industry best practices related to infrastructure design and drafting. Key skills and qualifications for an infrastructure draughtsman may include: Proficiency in CAD software: Strong skills in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. Technical drawing skills: Ability to create accurate and detailed drawings based on design specifications and engineering principles. Understanding of infrastructure: Knowledge of civil engineering, structural engineering, or related fields, including relevant codes and standards. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies. Attention to detail: Meticulousness in creating and reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness. Communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate design information to project teams and other stakeholders. Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other professionals. Educational qualifications: Typically, a diploma or degree in civil engineering, architectural drafting, or a related field.
