Job Description

Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting. Must have skills : IBM Z/OS Operating Systems Good to have skills : NA Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : Graduate Summary :As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues related to IBM Z/OS Operating Systems and providing hardware/software support across all server and network areas. Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor batch jobs. Report/resolve issues and batch scheduling changes in TWS tool Perform basic batch operations tasks. (RERUN, Step Restart, HOLD) Handle Current Plan batch activities and ad hoc changes. Monitor critical batches & console alerts. Report batch issues. Apply SOP to troubleshoot. Perform IPL/HMC operations and system maintenances. Handle system breakdowns - Emergency IPL, Dumps Identify & report risks to SLAs and engage stakeholders Monitor System performanceProfessional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills:Extensive hands-on experience in Console Operations and Batch operations using TWS tool. Good To Have Skills:Knowledge of other operating systems like Windows, Linux, etc. Experience to monitor consoles and other monitoring tools for various alerts and report as required Expertise with batch scheduling tools - particularly in TWS tool. Good to have experience with other scheduling tools like CA-ESP, CA-7, or Control-M Experience to work with Spool management tools, system monitoring and automation tools Expertise & knowledge to perform IPL and knowledge of HMC operations Experienced to support Production/LIVE environment in 24x7 support model Technical Competency Educational qualification:University degree in computer science, engineering or equivalentAdditional Information: Problem-Solving Skills Communication Skills Honesty Work Ethics Flexibility Loyalty Determination and Persistence Ability to Work in Harmony with Co-Workers Willingness to improvise knowledge and add to skills Qualification Graduate
