Informatica Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade

    Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)

    .
  • Manage user roles, privileges, security policies, and permissions.
  • Monitor system performance, perform capacity planning, and tune servers for optimal performance.
  • Handle issue resolution, root cause analysis, and provide production support for Informatica environments.
  • Manage connections to source/target systems (databases, applications, cloud).
  • Maintain metadata repositories and ensure system backups/recovery.
  • Apply patches, fixes, and perform version upgrades.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business teams to ensure smooth ETL workflows.
  • Create and maintain detailed

    administration documentation

    and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational

    data governance and security standards

    .

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Must Have Skills:

    • Strong expertise in

      Informatica Administration

      (PowerCenter / IICS).
    • Hands-on experience with

      installation, configuration, and environment migration

      .
    • Knowledge of

      high availability setup, clustering, and load balancing

      .
    • Proficiency in

      troubleshooting services, nodes, domain configurations

      .
  • Good To Have Skills:

    • Knowledge of

      SQL/Oracle/SQL Server/DB2

      databases.
    • Familiarity with

      Linux/Unix shell scripting

      .
    • Exposure to

      cloud-based ETL environments

      (Azure/AWS/GCP).
    • Understanding of

      DevOps CI/CD pipelines

      for Informatica deployments.

Additional Information

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in

    Informatica Administration

    preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in

    24x7 support model

    (if required).
