Individual Income Tax Return Manager (Canada GMS)

In this position, your main duty will be to act as the first point of contact for inquiries related to Employment Tax. As you evolve into a Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with clients, guiding them through complex employment tax issues. This role entails ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying opportunities for tax savings and operational improvements, and ensuring that Employment Tax practices are in sync with the broader business strategy and primary objectives.

• Review/Sign all types of CA individual income tax returns.
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of tax technical knowledge.
• Manage the engagement team -Set performance measurements and ensure that performancegoals, including engagement economics, turnaround time and quality targetsare met.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise team members.
• Design, deliver, and enhance

  training modules

• Demonstrate leadership and executive presence.
• Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the firm policies related to confidentiality and data privacy, client acceptance and engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines and knowledge sharing. Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently

Qualifications& Experience

Qualification:

• Experience: 6+ years in Canada Individual Taxation in a recognized firm or Big4.
• Should be a signer of Canada Individual Income tax returns for a minimum of 12-18months.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in team management and responsible for quality control within the team.
• Possess sound technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, along withanalytical thinking ability.
• Should have experience of working closely with foreign offices and clients.
• Capability to guide and support team members with technical stands and queries.
• Willingness to support team functions and experience in mentoring juniors in learningtax technical topics.
