Indian Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cook to prepare authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional dishes such as North Indian, South Indian, and/or Indo-Chinese cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing meals, managing ingredients, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, rotis, and chutneys.
• Use traditional cooking techniques and authentic ingredients to maintain taste and quality.
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Ensure food is cooked and presented according to recipes and company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Monitor food stock and place orders as necessary.
• Assist in menu development, including specials and seasonal dishes.
• Adapt dishes to accommodate customer dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free).
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Follow portion control and waste management protocols.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Indian Cook or similar role in a commercial kitchen.
• Extensive knowledge of Indian culinary traditions and spices.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, especially tandoor ovens and pressure cookers.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Culinary school certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
