Job Description

Role Overview: As an entry-level member of the HR Technology team at Waste Management (WM), your primary responsibility will be to configure and support software application systems within the People Organization. You will play a crucial role in providing technical and analytical support for HR foundational elements and structures that impact HR processes. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor HR systems, open cases, and review current processes to troubleshoot application-related issues and address system-related inquiries. - Conduct process review analysis and document current to future state, continuously seeking development opportunities on the job and through training. - Implement required configuration changes according to documented requirements, focusing on foundational workforce data structures like job codes, positions, location tables, HR departments, and other organizational structures and data fields. - Consider the impact of configuration on tables, data fields, and foundational structures on downstream systems and integrations. - Ensure data integrity and governance by supporting data imports and extracts, verifying accuracy through reporting and queries. - Review new software application products or modules in existing applications. - Provide fundamental day-to-day support and maintenance for systems, prepare for releases, upgrades, and patches through testing, reporting, and analysis of changes. - Perform unit, integration, and acceptance testing, collaborating with the functional team to provide screen shots and system steps for testing and change management. - Generate simple reports and queries using delivered software, following established data governance guidelines. - Document all configurations meticulously. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors Degree (accredited), or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience. - Experience: No previous years of experience required in addition to the education requirement.
