Job Opening: InDesign Paginator / Typesetter (2–5 Years Experience)

Overview

Key Responsibilities📘 Typesetting & Layout

• Execute complex page layouts with precision.
• Ensure correct placement, scaling, and quality of images, charts, tables, and illustrations.
• Work with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop when required.
• Manage and execute XML-driven pagination workflows within InDesign.
• Maintain high-quality output with consistent application of style and design rules.
  

🧩 Template Creation & Automation

• Build and enhance master pages, styles, and style sheets.
• Utilize or develop scripts (JavaScript/InDesign automation) to streamline production
  

️ Pre-Press & Print Preparation

• Perform thorough pre-flight checks and troubleshoot errors.
• Generate press-ready PDFs and package InDesign files for print production.
• Ensure compliance with printing and publisher standards.
  

🤝 Collaboration & Production Workflow

• Coordinate with production and editorial teams to meet deadlins.
• Manage correction cycles, revisions, and version control.
• Ensure output accuracy with minimal corrections.

Required Skills & Experince

• 2–5 years of experience in pagination/typesetting. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustraor.
• Strong knowledge of typography, grids, and layout fundamentals.
• Experience with XML workflows.
• Ability to manage high-volume and multi-format publishing projects.
• Experience in book, journal, and magazine pagination.
• Knowledge of MathType, InMath, scripting (JavaScript), and EPUB production is an added advantage.
• Education Qualification Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
