Job Description

As a Data Scientist at our company, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - **Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets**: You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from various sources. - **Develop and implement analytical models**: Using programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, you will develop and implement analytical models to derive insights. - **Apply machine learning techniques**: Utilize machine learning techniques like clustering, decision trees, neural networks, and Gen AI to solve business problems effectively. - **Perform statistical analysis**: Conduct statistical analysis including regression, distribution modeling, and hypothesis testing to draw meaningful conclusions. - **Work with databases**: Utilize SQL to acquire, query, and manage data environments efficiently. - **Utilize Databricks and Spark**: Use Databricks and Spark for distributed data processing to enhance efficiency. - **Collaborate using DevOps tools**: Collaborate effectively using tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab/BitBucket. - **Ensure compliance with data standards**: Maintain compliance with data management and privacy standards to ensure data integrity. - **Contribute to ETL processes**: Support ETL processes and facilitate integration across cloud and hybrid applications. - **Exposure to cloud ERP systems**: Any exposure to cloud ERP systems like Workday Finance would be beneficial. Desirable Skills for this role include: - **Educational background**: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. - **Experience in AI/ML**: 3 years of experience in AI/ML is preferred. - **Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms**: Familiarity with technologies like AWS, Azure would be advantageous. - **Proficiency in programming languages**: Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages. - **Database concepts knowledge**: Understanding of database concepts to help maintain data environments. - **Machine learning techniques**: Knowledge of various machine learning techniques and their real-world applications. - **Data transformation experience**: Experience in building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines and transformations. - **Advanced analytics knowledge**: Understanding of advanced analytics, statistical techniques, and their applications. - **Data visualization skills**: Ability to develop user-friendly and interactive dashboards on tools like Power Bi, Tableau, or others. In addition, your role will require you to have: - **Business Acumen**: Ability to quickly grasp and apply business concepts. - **Communication & Presentation Skills**: Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
