To know more, kindly visit us at https://sifyinfinitspaces.com/ Location : Noida About the Role : Incident Management Engineer Job Overview: Job Title: Incident Management Engineer Shift: 24x7 rotational shifts (including night shifts and weekends) Role Summary: The Incident Management Engineer will be part of the Global Command and Control Center (GC3) and will be responsible for real-time incident monitoring, response, escalation, coordination, and resolution support across all data center operations. This role ensures high availability, operational stability, and swift response to any events that may impact services. Key Responsibilities: Monitor critical infrastructure alarms and system alerts through the centralized incident management platform. Should be able to interact with cross functional teams. Log and categorize incidents in line with defined SOPs. Perform initial triage and engage appropriate stakeholders for resolution based on severity levels. Act as a single point of contact during high-severity incidents, coordinating across functional teams. Maintain clear, concise, and timely communication with stakeholders during incidents. Ensure accurate and complete documentation of incidents and follow-up actions. Should track ticket ageing and intimate on ground team on the timelines or any delay approaches. Tracking for RCA from OEM if required for any incident where vendor involvement is required for RCA. Assist in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews. Support change and problem management functions as per GC3 protocols. Participate in shift handovers, ensuring smooth transition and full situational awareness. Prepare incident dashboards, reports, and trend analysis using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools. Analyze incident data for trends, recurring issues, and areas of improvement. Adhere to compliance and data security protocols. Maintain updated knowledge on all GC3 monitoring tools and operational workflows. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent (Technical data center background preferred). 2+ years of experience in incident management, NOC/SOC operations, or data center command center roles. Strong understanding of Data Centre infrastructure components (UPS, DG, Chillers, Air conditioning units, networking, servers, BMS, etc.). Good analytical skills with the ability to assess and prioritize incidents. Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) – especially in preparing reports, incident trend charts, and dashboards. Proficiency in Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc., for data analysis. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in 24x7 operations and rotating shifts. Familiarity with ITIL processes will be an advantage. Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
