Role Senior Associate Exp 5 7 Years Location Mumbai/Gurugram Job Title Business Analyst (General Insurance Domain) About the Role We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our consulting team, working closely with leading General Insurance clients. The ideal candidate should bring a strong foundation in data understanding and insurance domain knowledge to drive digital transformation and dataled decisionmaking across the insurance value chain. This is a handson, consultative role that requires a structured thinker who can work seamlessly with both business and technical teams to define data and functional requirements, and support delivery through all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop a deep functional understanding of General Insurance operations across policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting. Lead data requirement gathering for projects involving data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores. Translate business needs into structured deliverables including o Business Requirement Document o Data Dictionaries and Business Glossaries o Sourcetotarget mappings, transformation logic, and data validation rules o KPIDimension Matrix and ETL Strategy Design and maintain conceptual and logical to support insurance systems. Normalize and denormalize data structures, define hierarchies, and incorporate business semantics into model design. Perform data profiling, validation, and SQLbased analysis to support requirement definition and quality assurance. Work with developers and data engineers to ensure models are implemented correctly and optimized for performance and usability. Required Skills & Qualifications

57 years of overall experience in IT or Consulting, with a strong focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling Strong understanding of one or more of the following insurance processes o Policy Lifecycle (Issuance, Renewals, Cancellations) o Claims Lifecycle (FNOL, Adjudication, Settlement, Recoveries) o Underwriting & Risk Assessment o Commission & Distribution Management o Billing o Regulatory and Statutory Reporting Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures Familiarity with both modelling techniques like Normalization etc. Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) Experience working on insurance core systems like Guidewire etc. Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry (e.g, IFRS 17) Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure etc. Basic familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, Insurance certifications (e.g., LOMA, III) are a plus
