Job Description

As an In-House Service Manager in the Medical Device Service team, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the in-house service department. Your responsibilities will include: - Service Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation. - Team Leadership: Lead a team of biomedical equipment technicians (BMETs) and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. - Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. - Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to uphold compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. - Inventory Management: Manage parts and supplies inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels while minimizing obsolescence. - Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage departmental budgets effectively, optimizing resource utilization and reducing waste. - Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as FDA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement to boost efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 4-7 years of experience in medical device service, with leadership or management experience preferred. - Certifications: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification is advantageous. Your skills should encompass: - Strong leadership and management abilities. - Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. - Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
