In-House Service Manager Medical Devices

You are an experienced and skilled In-House Service Manager in the field of Medical Device Service. Your role involves leading the medical device service team by managing day-to-day operations of the in-house service department. Your primary responsibility is to ensure timely and effective repair and maintenance of medical devices. Your key responsibilities include managing service operations such as scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation. You will lead a team of biomedical equipment technicians (BMETs) and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Customer service is crucial, and you must maintain excellent customer relations by responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally. In addition, you will implement and maintain quality assurance processes to comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Managing inventory levels, budgeting, and cost control are also essential aspects of your role. Compliance with regulatory standards like FDA, OSHA, and Joint Commission is mandatory, along with identifying areas for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 4-7 years of experience in medical device service including leadership roles. Certifications like Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) are preferred. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and technical skills are necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
