Implementation Specialist, Technical Support

As an Implementation Specialist, Technical Support at Springer Nature Group, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of journals and collaborating with Publishing teams to ensure the smooth operation of journals in a Production-ready manner. Your role will involve facilitating submit-to-accept workflows, maintaining compliance with policies, and centralizing the resolution of technical issues affecting the systems used by the Global Publishing Operations team. Your key responsibilities will include gathering system requirements from stakeholders, setting up and maintaining peer review systems, conducting training sessions, ensuring the quality of article-level activities, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will be involved in assessing, resolving, or escalating new technical issues impacting systems, communicating with stakeholders on these issues, and collaborating with various teams to support system optimization and automation. To excel in this role, you should have experience in contributing to business projects, working with global stakeholders, and preferably, previous experience in publishing or support roles. You should possess strong technical skills, the ability to translate business needs into projects, an understanding of publishing workflows, and excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. A degree or equivalent work experience is required, and a formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2 is desirable.
