Software Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:

  Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex software development projects, with a primary focus on health claims processing.

• Team Management:

  Manage multiple parallel development tracks, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

• Technical Oversight:

  Guide teams working with open source technologies including Java, Python, React Native, PostgreSQL etc

• Agile & Scrum Implementation:

  Champion agile methodologies; facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and ensure the creation and refinement of user stories.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  Provide granular and transparent reporting, including detailed progress updates and risk assessments, to both immediate teams and senior leadership.

• Quality Assurance:

  Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, testing, and delivery for all development tracks.

• Resource Planning:

  Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and business goals.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Drive process improvement initiatives to maximize team productivity and product quality.

• Mentorship:

  Mentor and develop project managers, team leads, and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.

Requirement:

• Experience:

  20+ years managing large-scale software development projects, ideally within the insuretech or healthcare insurance domain.

• Domain Expertise:

  Hands-on experience with health claims processing systems is highly desirable.

• Technical Acumen:

• Strong understanding of open source technology stacks:

  React Native, Java, Python, PostgreSQL etc

• Experience integrating and delivering distributed systems and microservices.

• Methodologies:

  Deep knowledge of

  Agile/Scrum

  methodologies, with a track record of working closely with development teams on user stories and backlog management.

• Leadership:

  Demonstrated success managing multiple teams and parallel development tracks.

• Communication:

  Exceptional communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills, capable of delivering detailed updates to both technical teams and executive leadership.

• Toolset:

  Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) and reporting platforms.

Preferred:

• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to business intelligence and data visualization best practices.
