Role Summary

The Ignition Developer will design, develop, and deploy web-based HMIs and dashboards using Ignition Perspective, integrate Ignition with SQL databases, and architect IIoT solutions for real-time process monitoring. The role requires strong scripting skills, database integration expertise, and experience with industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web-based HMIs and dashboards using Ignition Perspective.
• Integrate Ignition with SQL databases and architect IIoT solutions for real-time process monitoring.
• Develop modular, reusable scripts using Jython/Python.
• Configure alarms, reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics.
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and maintain existing Ignition applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT/OT teams, document solutions, and deliver user training.

Essential Attributes

• Strong attention to detail when documenting solutions, scripts, and SOPs.
• Ability to comprehend industrial processes and drive effective solutions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1 (Perspective and Vision modules).
• Strong knowledge of Python/Jython scripting, gateway events, and project libraries.
• Hands-on experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data modeling.
• Experience with REST APIs for MES, ERP, and IIoT integration.
• Basic understanding of PLC logic and addressing (Rockwell, Siemens).
