Ignition Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and deploy IIoT applications using Ignition.
• Utilize both Perspective and Vision modules in Ignition to develop comprehensive solutions for various use cases.
• Create custom scripts and reports within Ignition for efficient data visualization.
• Work with MES systems to ensure seamless integration between shop floor operations and enterprise systems.
• Integration and Networking: Integrate SCADA systems with various industrial devices, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other control systems
• Collaborate with Kepware, MES, and production teams to troubleshoot issues
• Implement and maintain OEE, traceability, and energy monitoring solutions etc
• Optimize SQL database queries to maintain system efficiency.
• Ensure smooth API-based integrations between MES, Ignition, and external systems

Preferred candidate profile

• ANY Degree. Preferable: BE EEE/ECE/CS/EIE
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (v8.x or higher).
• Basic knowledge of MES systems added advantage.
• Strong understanding of IIoT protocols and industrial communication networks.
• Experience with Kepware, SQL databases, and MES.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation tasks within Ignition.
• Familiarity with OEE, traceability
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and independent work ethic.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or technologies.
