Key Responsibilities

• Product Development

• Formulate and develop new ice cream products, flavors, and formats (cups, cones, sticks, tubs, premium lines).
  
• Conduct pilot and commercial trials, fine-tune recipes for taste, texture, and stability.
  
• Innovate with functional, regional, and seasonal variants.
  

• Hands-on Process Management

• Work directly on the production floor during trials and scaling.
  
• Troubleshoot technical/process issues in freezing, overrun, meltdown, or texture.
  
• Standardize production parameters for consistency.
  

• Quality & Compliance

• Ensure FSSAI and food safety standards are strictly followed.
  
• Monitor raw material usage, reduce wastage, and optimize yield.
  
• Conduct sensory evaluation, stability testing, and maintain quality records.
  

• Market & Sales Support

• Benchmark competitor products on quality, price, and packaging.
  
• Work with sales/marketing teams on sampling, promotions, and customer feedback.
  
• Suggest cost-effective SKUs for Kirana, HoReCa, and retail channels.
  

• Leadership & Documentation

• Build and guide a small ice cream team (R&D, QC, production staff).
  
• Develop SOPs and documentation for recipes, trials, and production.
  
• Train staff in hygiene, safety, and best practices.
  

Candidate Profile

• Education:

  B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, or equivalent.

• Experience:

  38 years in ice cream or frozen dessert processing, with proven

  hands-on plant floor experience

  .

• Skills & Attributes:

• Strong knowledge of dairy/ice cream formulation, stabilizers, emulsifiers, inclusions.
  
• Hands-on technologist who enjoys practical work, not just lab-based R&D.
  
• Ability to innovate while maintaining cost efficiency.
  
• Leadership and communication skills to work with production, QC, and sales teams.
  
• Market-oriented mindset with passion for consumer-focused product development.
