This is a Perm job opening with our client - the biggest IT company of India.

Description

We are seeking an experienced DB2 Database Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our DB2 databases, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

Administer and manage DB2 databases in a production environment.
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability.
Implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Perform regular maintenance and updates of DB2 databases.
Manage user access and security for DB2 databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas.

Skills and Qualifications

8-15 years of experience in DB2 database administration.
Strong knowledge of DB2 database architecture and administration.
Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Experience with database backup and recovery techniques.
Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization methodologies.
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
