Job Description

Job Title:

About the Role

L1 Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Provide L1 support for hyperconverged infrastructure and backup systems.
Monitor system alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate issues as required.
Handle service requests and incidents within defined SLA timelines.
Collaborate with L2/L3 teams and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Use Unix/Linux basic commands for troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and procedures.
Participate in
24x7x365 shift coverage
, including night and weekend shifts.
Support service delivery to meet customer contracts and expectations.
Track and report performance metrics, and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Primary Skills Required

Hyperconverged + Backup (L1 level)
vMware, vSAN, PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM)
Networker, Avamar, Data Domain (DD)

Secondary Skills

Basic knowledge of
Unix/Linux
commands
Good verbal and written
communication skills
Understanding of
Service Management
principles

Nice to Have Skills

Exposure to
VMAX
and
NSX-T
(L1 level)
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (preferred)

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
0+ years of relevant experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
