Hydroponics Farm Technician / Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
1) Daily Farm Operations

• Monitor plant health and growth; report abnormalities
• Assist with seeding, seed propagation, sapling prep, transplanting, harvesting, packaging
• Maintain hygiene and food-safety standards

2) Nutrient & Water Management

• Mix/apply nutrient solutions per guidance
• Check & log pH, EC, water quality daily
• Clean/maintain tanks, pipes, irrigation

3) System Maintenance

• Inspect pumps, lights, sensors; clean trays
• Report breakdowns; assist troubleshooting

4) Recordkeeping & Reporting

• Maintain daily logs (crop, water/nutrients, harvest)
• Support traceability for quality compliance

5) Team Support

• Guide helpers in daily tasks
• Coordinate schedules with Operations Manager

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma / B.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture (preferred); hydroponics/greenhouse certification is a plus
• Technical: Plant care & soilless basics; seed propagation & germination; use of EC/pH meters, basic farm tools
• Soft: Diligent, detail-oriented, willing to learn, team-first

Experience

• 0–3 years in agriculture/greenhouse/hydroponics (freshers welcome; on-job training provided)
• Basic on-site accommodation near the polyhouse (if required)
• “Hands-dirty” attitude; willing to do basic marketing to hotels/supermarkets to establish supply

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: Competitive (DOE) + accommodation (if live-in)
• Full-time, on-site (Malur, Karnataka)
• Language: Kannada/Hindi/English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,289.86 - ₹18,635.64 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Malur, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
