Hydroponics Farm Technician / Supervisor

Role Overview: As a Farm Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in daily farm operations, nutrient and water management, system maintenance, recordkeeping, reporting, and team support. Your dedication and attention to detail will contribute to the success of the farm. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor plant health and growth, and promptly report any abnormalities - Assist in seeding, seed propagation, sapling preparation, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging - Maintain hygiene and food safety standards on the farm - Mix and apply nutrient solutions as per guidelines provided - Check and log pH, EC, and water quality on a daily basis - Clean and maintain tanks, pipes, and irrigation systems - Inspect pumps, lights, and sensors, and clean trays regularly - Report any equipment breakdowns and assist in troubleshooting - Maintain daily logs for crops, water/nutrients, and harvests - Support traceability for quality compliance - Guide helpers in their daily tasks and coordinate schedules with the Operations Manager Qualifications Required: - Education: Diploma/B.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture (preferred); hydroponics/greenhouse certification is a plus - Technical Skills: Proficiency in plant care, soilless basics, seed propagation, germination, use of EC/pH meters, and basic farm tools - Soft Skills: Diligent, detail-oriented, willingness to learn, and a team-first attitude Additional Company Details: The farm is just starting up, and there may be an opportunity to work for a lesser salary initially with accommodation/room provided on-site. Freshers are welcome, and on-the-job training will be provided. Basic marketing tasks to establish supply to hotels/supermarkets may be required. Note: Basic on-site accommodation near the polyhouse is available if required. The work location is in Malur, Karnataka, and proficiency in Kannada, Hindi, or English is preferred. The job type is full-time, and the ability to commute/relocate to Malur, Karnataka is essential. Traveling may be required up to 25% of the time.
