Hydra Driver

A Hydra Driver is responsible for operating a Hydra crane, typically used for lifting, loading, unloading, and moving heavy materials and equipment, particularly in construction, logistics, and industrial environments. The role requires a strong understanding of crane operation, safety protocols, and the ability to manage various tasks related to lifting and handling heavy loads.

• Crane Operation: Operate the Hydra crane to lift and move heavy materials, machinery, and equipment across construction sites, warehouses, or other designated areas.
• Material Handling: Load and unload materials, ensuring that items are placed accurately and securely in the right locations.
• Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-operational checks on the Hydra crane, including inspecting the hydraulic system, cables, brakes, and other components to ensure proper functioning.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring the safety of personnel working near the crane, and adhering to local regulations and safety standards.
• Coordination: Work closely with ground staff, riggers, and other team members to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment. Communicate effectively to avoid accidents or errors.
• Load Management: Ensure the safe loading and unloading of items by calculating and confirming load weight, verifying the capacity of the crane, and securing materials before movement.
• Record Keeping: Maintain logs of crane operation, including hours worked, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered during operation. Report any mechanical faults or breakdowns to the supervisor.
• Site Preparation: Set up and prepare the site for crane operation, including marking load zones, ensuring proper clearance for the crane, and making necessary adjustments based on site conditions.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues with the Hydra crane. Report major mechanical issues to the maintenance team for repair.
