HW Work Package Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Gather system requirements from the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders to define hardware scope.
• Provide effort estimates and develop associated planning schedules in coordination with the hardware team.
• Oversee the hardware teams schedule to ensure timely delivery of outputs to both internal projects and external customers.
• Support and evaluate hardware-related technical decisions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Coordinate effectively with other workpackage managers (e.g., mechanical, software, FPGA) to maintain seamless integration across disciplines.
• Assist and monitor the production process to ensure hardware deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Project Manager and organizational leadership as agreed.
• Identify deviations from plan and propose corrective actions, including risk mitigation strategies.
• Plan, supervise, and validate outsourced hardware workpackages to ensure quality and compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis of issues and contribute to lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Participate in regular project team meetings and provide updates on hardware activities and progress.
