Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who has previously worked in the Defence, Aerospace, or High-Compliance Manufacturing sector. The role demands strong experience in structured HR systems, HR documentation, high security protocols, and adherence to defence-specific workforce governance frameworks.

This position is responsible for managing HR operations, compliance, hiring, and employee engagement aligned with the requirements of the defence manufacturing ecosystem.

Mandatory Requirement

Candidate must have minimum 2 years experience working in the Indian Defence / Aerospace / DRDO Supplier ecosystem, Tier-1 / Tier-2 Defence Manufacturing Company, or similar high-compliance regulated industry.

(Candidates without defence-sector experience will not be considered.)

Key Responsibilities

1 Workforce Planning & Deployment

  • Support workforce planning aligned with defence project timelines, NDA-based contracts, and production ramp-up cycles.
  • Manage contract staffing where applicable for defence programs.

2 Recruitment & Security Compliance

  • Execute hiring end-to-end including background screening, police verification where required, and access approval in line with facility security procedures.
  • Manage onboarding process including NDAs, controlled access badges, and compliance documentation.

3 HR Operations & Policy Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, shift rosters, HRMS data, payroll support, leave management, and statutory registers.
  • Issue official documentation (offer letters, appraisal letters, warnings, separation documents etc.)

4 Performance Management & Capability Development

  • Support structured appraisal cycles aligned to defence program milestones.
  • Assist in arranging mandatory or compliance-based employee training (EHS, AS9100, cybersecurity, COC, DGQA/QA-process culture).

5 Compliance, Audit & Legal

  • Ensure adherence to statutory norms including:
  • PF, ESI, Bonus Act
  • Shops & Establishment Act
  • Labour inspections
  • Support documentation for ISO, AS9100, DRDO, DGQA, and customer audits related to HR and facility compliance.

6 Employee Relations & Culture Building

  • Handle employee counselling, grievance resolution, and exit management discreetly and professionally.
  • Drive initiatives promoting discipline, ethical behaviour, and secure work culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (MBA HR preferred).
  • 2–7 years HR experience, with minimum 2 years mandatory in Indian Defence/Aerospace/DRDO manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of defence-sector compliance, documentation, and workforce discipline norms.
  • Experience using HRMS/ATS platforms.
