Position: Public Area Attendant

Reporting To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary:

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of all public areas of the hotel, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for guests and staff. This includes lobbies, corridors, washrooms, elevators, banquet areas, restaurants, and other assigned zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all public areas as per hotel standards.
• Clean and sanitize lobby, corridors, elevators, staircases, washrooms, and designated areas.
• Replenish supplies in public washrooms (tissues, towels, soap, sanitizers).
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
• Handle housekeeping equipment safely (vacuum, scrubber, mop, etc.).
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of glass doors, windows, fixtures, and furniture in public areas.
• Assist in setup and cleaning of banquet and restaurant public areas when required.
• Maintain record of daily cleaning tasks in checklists.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitization protocols.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through courteous behavior and prompt service.

Skills & Requirements:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or public area cleaning preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work on feet for long hours.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
• 0–2 years of experience in housekeeping/public area (hotel industry preferred).

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
