Housekeeping GSA- Public Area

The Housekeeping GSA – Public Area is responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all public areas in the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lounges, and other guest-facing spaces. This role ensures a welcoming environment that aligns with the hotel's service and brand standards. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain all public areas such as lobbies, elevators, corridors, staircases, public restrooms, and meeting spaces. Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces, floors, glass panels, and furniture as per SOPs. Replenish supplies in public restrooms and ensure consistent hygiene standards. Guest Interaction & Service: Greet guests courteously and respond to their requests or direct them to the appropriate staff or department. Report lost and found items immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Maintain a polite and professional demeanor in all guest interactions. Equipment & Supplies: Use housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently. Report any malfunctions, damage, or safety hazards in public areas. Ensure proper storage and care of cleaning tools and materials. Compliance & Safety: Follow health, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times. Adhere to hotel brand standards, appearance, and grooming guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel property. Requirements: High school education or equivalent. Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred (hotel or facility management environment). Basic understanding of cleaning methods, chemical safety, and public area standards. Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties over extended periods. Good communication and time management skills. Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
