Hostel Warden

Resposibilities:

• Room Allocation:

  Assign rooms to residents based on availability and institutional guidelines.

• Record Keeping:

  Maintain updated records of residents, including personal details, attendance, and disciplinary actions.

• Inventory Management:

  Oversee hostel assets like furniture, appliances, and supplies.

• Monitoring Entry/Exit:

  Ensure that residents follow curfew timings and maintain a register of visitors.

• Emergency Response:

  Act swiftly during medical emergencies, fire drills, or security threats.

• Surveillance Oversight:

  Coordinate with security staff and ensure CCTV systems are functional.

• Rule Enforcement:

  Ensure residents adhere to hostel rules regarding noise, cleanliness, and behavior.

• Conflict Resolution:

  Mediate disputes among residents and take disciplinary action when necessary.

• Counseling Support:

  Offer guidance and emotional support, especially in student hostels.

• Facility Upkeep:

  Report and follow up on repairs for plumbing, electrical, or structural issues.

• Cleanliness Checks:

  Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure hygiene standards are met.

• Mess Supervision:

  Monitor food quality, hygiene, and meal schedules.

• Liaison Role:
