Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Management:

Maintain up-to-date records of hostel residents.
Coordinate room allocation and ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes.
Address and resolve residents grievances in a timely manner.

Discipline & Conduct:

Ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
Report disciplinary issues to the Hostel Warden/Dean and assist in enforcement actions.
Monitor residents behavior and ensure a conducive atmosphere for study and rest.

Facility Management:

Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of hostel premises, including rooms, common areas, and washrooms.
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
Ensure proper functioning of utilities (electricity, water supply, Wi-Fi, etc.).

Safety & Security:

Supervise hostel entry/exit registers and implement visitor policies.
Monitor security arrangements and coordinate with campus security.
Conduct regular checks and ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Administrative Duties:

Assist in budget planning and inventory management for hostel supplies.
Maintain records of complaints, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
Coordinate with the mess/catering service to ensure food quality and hygiene.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (
Prior experience in hostel or facility management (1–3 years preferred).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage conflicts and handle emergencies.
