Purpose:

To provide strategic and operational leadership for the effective and efficient functioning of the hospital, including multispecialty clinical departments, support services, and occupational health programs. The administrator ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, maintains quality standards, optimizes resource use, and enhances patient and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all hospital departments (clinical and non-clinical).
  • Ensure efficient patient flow, service delivery, and resource utilization across specialties

2. Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Contribute to long-term strategic goals including expansion, accreditation, and service improvements.
  • Develop and implement policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance programs.

3. Human Resources & Staffing:

  • Supervise staffing plans and recruitment in collaboration with HR.
  • Ensure performance management systems are in place for all departments.
  • Facilitate training, development, and staff welfare initiatives.

4. Budgeting and Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, revenue targets, and cost control plans.
  • Monitor billing, procurement, inventory, and vendor contracts.

5. Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with NABH, ISO, or other accreditation standards.
  • Monitor infection control, biomedical waste management, patient safety, and documentation audits.

6. Patient Relations & Satisfaction:

  • Monitor patient feedback, grievances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a patient-centered culture throughout the hospital.

7. Infrastructure and Technology Management:

  • Ensure maintenance of hospital equipment, IT systems, and physical infrastructure.
  • Support integration of health information systems and digitization initiatives.

8. Occupational Health Services Oversight:

  • Supervise occupational health clinics and onsite medical services for partner industries.
  • Ensure timely execution of medical check-ups, compliance with statutory norms (e.g., Factory Act, ESIC), and industrial hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with client companies to meet contractual service levels and reporting requirements.

9. Crisis and Risk Management:

  • Lead emergency preparedness and disaster management planning.
  • Respond to administrative or clinical crises including service interruptions and legal issues.
