Head of Sports (HOD Sports)

Location: HIS CBSE Campus, Kanha (formerly The Heartfulness Learning Centre)

Reports to: Principal

Type: Full-time (Residential/Day Scholar)

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Sports to lead and oversee the sports & physical education program for Grades 1 12 in line with CBSE norms and our holistic education philosophy. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, event management, and talent development skills to inspire sportsmanship, discipline, and a love for fitness across the campus.

Preference: Experience as a Sports HOD/Coordinator in a CBSE school.

About HIS CBSE Campus, Kanha:

A values-driven CBSE institution offering Grades 1 12 education in the serene surroundings of Kanha Shantivanam. We integrate academic excellence with holistic growth through modern pedagogy and Heartfulness practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Sports Program & Curriculum: Develop & implement CBSE-compliant sports curriculum; integrate in timetables; introduce diverse indoor/outdoor activities.
Student Development: Identify & train talent for inter-school to national events; create structured training plans; encourage mass participation.
Leadership: Mentor PE staff/coaches; conduct training; coordinate with academics for balance.
Event Management: Lead Annual Sports Day, CBSE tournaments, inter-house & inter-school events.
Facilities & Equipment: Maintain sports infrastructure; manage and upgrade equipment.
Safety & Records: Ensure safety protocols, first-aid readiness, and CBSE-compliant documentation.
