HMC & HBM Machine Setter Cum Operator

Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) & Harizontal Boring Machine ( HBM )machines as per job requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CNC programs, and job orders to determine machining operations. Perform machine setup including tool selection, tool offsets, fixture clamping, workpiece alignment, and zero-point setting. Ensure proper cutting parameters, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining with required surface finish and accuracy. Conduct first-off inspection and make necessary corrections to achieve dimensional accuracy. Monitor machine operation, identify deviations, and take corrective action. Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.). Maintain tools, jigs, and fixtures in good working condition. Ensure machine cleanliness and preventive maintenance as per schedule. Work in coordination with production, quality, and engineering teams to achieve targets. Follow all safety protocols, 5S, and standard operating procedures in the workplace. Skills & Competencies: Hands-on experience in HMC & HBM machine operation & setup. Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi CNC controls (as applicable). Good understanding of machining parameters for various materials. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of CNC programming will be an added advantage. Qualification & Experience: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3–5 years of experience as HMC Setter cum Operator (experience on Mazak & Makino machines preferred). Other Requirements: Willingness to work in shifts. teamwork skills. Ability to work under production deadlines.   CTC : Based on Experience , min CTC 35k to 40k.
