Hitachi Storage SME - L2

As a Hitachi Storage Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience in Hitachi VSP 5600 storage management, SAN switch zoning, and day-to-day administration for SAN and storage environments, your role will involve managing infrastructure events, investigating and diagnosing raised problems for root cause analysis, performing necessary storage infrastructure maintenance, Ops center administration, detail view analyzer, protector and reporting, remote replication using CCI, local replication using CCI and Protector, storage migration, problem solving, troubleshooting, and BAU operations tasks. Immediate starters are preferred given the live project. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Customers storage support teams - Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting - Support the design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure - Maintain systems level maintenance for storage infrastructure - Track storage usage trending and capacity planning - Document storage procedures and reporting - Provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration - Manage infrastructure events such as Capacity Management - Monitor storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity - Perform capacity analysis and trend analysis - Resolve problems including preliminary problem diagnosis and documentation - Investigate and diagnose raised problems for root cause analysis - Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance - Mentor and train junior admins - Oversee design, installation, configuration, and de-provision of storage solutions - Manage Performance Management for SAN and storage - Handle IT Service continuity management including Disaster Recovery solutions and Business Resumption Testing Qualification Required: - 5 years+ experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure - Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Hitachi Technical certification is desirable,
