Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services (payment gateways, CRMs, social platforms, email tools).
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement security best practices, including vulnerability assessments and WordPress hardening.
• Manage cloud hosting (AWS, Azure) and traditional hosting servers (cPanel/WHM), ensuring backups, security, and monitoring.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following WordPress coding standards.
• Develop custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom field structures for complex requirements.
• Implement caching, compression, and optimization techniques for performance improvements.
• Use Git for version control, staging, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with designers and team members to build intuitive, accessible user interfaces.
• Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven WordPress development experience with strong PHP back-end skills.
• Expertise in WordPress architecture, hooks, actions, filters, WP_Query, custom post types, and taxonomies.
• Experience with ACF, Gutenberg, Elementor, or WPBakery page builders.
• Strong understanding of website architecture, design principles, and performance optimization.
• Skilled in RESTful API integration, AJAX, and JSON/XML-based functionalities.
• Experience designing, querying, and optimizing MySQL databases for WordPress sites.
• Hands-on experience with WP-CLI and Composer in development workflows.
• Knowledge of caching (object, page), compression, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage timelines and deliver quality projects consistently.
