Role : Manual QA Engineer (API + Database Testing)

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Location : Gurgaon (Hybrid)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing, API validation, and database testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in writing test cases, executing test scenarios, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, document, and execute

  manual test cases

   for web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Perform

  API testing

   (REST/SOAP) using tools like

  Postman, Swagger, or similar

  .
• Write and execute

  SQL queries

   for backend data validation and database integrity testing.
• Conduct

  functional, regression, integration, and system testing

  .
• Report, track, and verify bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality coverage.
• Participate in

  test planning, test design reviews, and requirement analysis

  .
• Ensure test deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Provide

  detailed defect reports

   with reproducible steps and assist developers in troubleshooting.
• Support UAT and production validation when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 35 years

   of experience in

  manual software testing

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  software testing life cycle (STLC)

   and

  defect management processes

  .
• Good understanding of

  API testing concepts

   and hands-on experience with Postman/Swagger.
• Strong skills in

  SQL

   (joins, subqueries, data validation).
• Exposure to

  databases

   such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
