Job Summary

Senior / Lead Manual QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Requirement Analysis

• Analyze

  business requirements, technical specifications, and UI/UX designs

  to create comprehensive

  test strategies, test plans, and test cases

  .
• Ensure complete test coverage aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
  
• Maintain

  Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)

  to ensure end-to-end validation.

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Perform

  Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Sanity, and End-to-End testing

  across applications.
• Execute test cases, identify defects, and log issues with appropriate severity and priority.
  
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure

  timely defect resolution

  and perform re-testing and regression validation.

Test Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain detailed test artifacts including

  Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Summary Reports, RTM, and Release Sign-offs

  .
• Provide

  regular status updates

  on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

API & Database Testing

• Perform

  API testing

  using tools such as

  Postman

  (basic to intermediate level).
• Execute

  backend/database validation

  using

  SQL

  (intermediate to advanced queries).

Team Leadership & Quality Governance

• Review test cases prepared by team members to ensure

  high-quality coverage and standards

  .
• Mentor and guide

  junior QA engineers

  , promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to

  QA processes, standards, and compliance

  across projects.

Agile Collaboration

• Actively participate in

  Agile/Scrum ceremonies

  including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Work closely with

  Product Owners, Developers, and Business Teams

  to align on quality expectations and delivery timelines.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in

  Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field

  .

Experience

• 8–10 years

  of hands-on experience in

  Manual Testing

  for web and/or mobile applications.
• Proven experience in a

  Senior or Lead QA role

  is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of

  SDLC, STLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies

  .
• Expertise in

  test scenario design, test case creation, and execution

  .
• Proficiency with

  Defect Tracking Tools

  : JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, Mantis, or similar.
• Experience with

  Test Management Tools

  : TestRail, Zephyr, qTest.
• Strong

  SQL skills

  for backend/database testing (Intermediate to Advanced).

• API testing

  experience using

  Postman

  (Basic to Intermediate).
• Experience in

  mobile application testing (Android/iOS)

  is an added advantage.
