Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants to deliver projects that meet the defined objectives and quality standards.

He/she shall also be responsible for cross functional team management as well as stakeholder management with respect to different clients/consultants and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/contractors for project execution.
    • Define project tasks and resource requirements, and allocate tasks accordingly.
  • Budget and Resource Management:

    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
    • Track project expenses and ensure projects remain within financial limits.
    • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
    • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, issues, and changes.
    • Facilitate meetings, provide clear and concise status reports, and manage expectations.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
    • Implement and enforce project processes and procedures.
    • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring:

    • Oversee day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
    • Monitor and control project performance, and make adjustments as necessary.
    • Conduct project reviews and generate status reports for stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
    • Prepare project status reports and deliver them to stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Document lessons learned and apply best practices for future projects.
    • Reports to EPC head in terms of all projects and their commercial and execution health.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    • B. Tech / M. Tech in electricals. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role for at least 10-12 years, with a track record of successful project delivery.
    • Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Certifications:

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
